To participate, your child needs to read 400 minutes during the month and turn the form into the Reading Hall of Fame bulletin board envelope across from the library or give to their teacher by the 1st of the following month. Each month your child turns in their filled in sheet they will get a free book and be entered into a raffle drawing for that month!
In support of the schools paperless efforts we will not be sending home hard copies after the first month except to the Kindergarten students. Grades 1-5 will be able to print off their own minute sheet at home using a
pdf file posted here on our web site. For those of you who are unable to print your own file there will be additional sheets available each month in a folder on the Reading Hall of Fame bulletin board (across from the library).
- To increase overall monthly participation, we are planning a friendly class competition. Each month the class with the highest participation will win a prize for the whole class. Please help remind your child each month to read & turn in their sheets on the due date and help their class win!
- Each month a student turns in their sheet they will also be entered into a raffle drawing for that current month for another individual prize. There will be one winner per grade each month.
- At the end of the year there will be a grand prize drawing for all students that have participated for the whole 8 months of the Reading Hall of Fame (Oct. - June). This drawing will be one winner, all grades included. The grand prize is a Mariners prize pack which includes 2 tickets to a game, gift card and other Mariners baseball items.

We hope that you will encourage your child to be part of the FCES Reading Team this year! We will do our best to recognize your child’s achievement and reward their efforts in a meaningful way!
