Reading Hall of Fame

Minutes are Due by Wednesday, June 5th!

Celebrate your love of reading with a new book from the Reading Hall of Fame (RHoF) program!

We are excited to provide a free book for each student who completes 400 minutes of reading each month.

Submitting your minutes is easy and you can do that one of two ways:

  1. Turn in the bright green Reading Hall of Fame form (sent home each month) to the folder on the RHoF bulletin board outside the library.
  2. Submit THIS FORM electronically by the deadline each month.

If you would like to use a different form to track your student’s minutes, we’ve found a few great options:

PRINTABLE READING LOG
PRINTABLE READING LOG – UNICORN
PRINTABLE READING LOG – OUTER SPACE

If you have any questions, please e-mail fentona25@gmail.com.

Happy reading!

Did you know?

1. Reading 20 minutes a day exposes your child to 1.8 million words a year.

2. Regular reading helps children develop empathy and emotional regulation skills and can act as a springboard to conversations about these topics with your child.

3. Literacy skills develop through hearing, seeing, and saying words.

4. Reading comes in many forms, including but not limited to, telling stories through illustrations, listening to a story, and reading stories.

Any reading form counts towards your child's monthly minutes!

Friendly Class Competition

To increase overall monthly participation, there will be a friendly class competition. Each month, the "Star Class" with the highest number of minutes will win a popcorn party.
