PTSA PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

After you meet your teacher, come get a popsicle from the PTSA out at the under cover area, while you catch up and meet some new friends!

After you wave good-bye to your kindergarten student, please join the PTSA in the Learning Garden for a Tea and Tissue event on the first day of school.

The first day of kindergarten can be an emotional and exciting experience for both students and parents.

Come celebrate as you send your little one off to kindergarten!

WATCH D.O.G.S. is an innovative program being used by schools across America, which helps them to be enriched by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their students' lives. The goal is for fathers and father-figures to spend at least one day at school, during the school year, as a positive male role model for all students. If you are a dad, grandad, uncle, step-dad, adult brother, or any other father-figure you are eligible to join the program.

Dads and their FCES student(s) can learn more about the program at the 9th Annual Pizza Night on October 26th at 5 PM.

When your child reads 400 minutes in a month, they earn a free book! They will have a chance each month of the school year. Anytime a student reads to an adult, a student reads independently, or when an adult reads to the student - it counts! Minutes must be recorded on a minute sheet to be counted.

Minutes are due monthly! See the Calendar for dates.

The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Students in K-2 will participate in the Primary division and students in grades 3-5 will participate in the Intermediate division. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance, Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

The 2023-2024 Reflections theme is "I am Hopeful Because..."

Parent Play Days are a chance to connect with your student during their recess one Friday per month. It is a unique opportunity to see your child in their element and engage with the larger FCES community. Younger siblings are welcome to attend, but must be with the parent at all times being supervised.
